Hampson records Schubert's Lieder in an orchestral accompaniment arranged by Brahms! Brahms arrangement with orchestral accompaniment! Thomas Hampson, the famous baritone who is not only an opera singer but also one of the best Lieder singers, has recorded Schubert's Lieder. This time, the piano part is recorded in Brahms' orchestral arrangement. Brahms's orchestral arrangements are sometimes reminiscent of symphonic works, and the choice of instruments and other aspects that make this album different from the original are noteworthy. Hampson's voice is warm, rich, and lyrical, and she sings as if she were speaking to the audience. Detlef Granath (1960-) is a German composer who was the resident composer of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra from 2011 to 2017. His representative works include "Requiem for Hieronymus Bosch" and the opera "Océane". Four Preludes and Solemn Songs" is based on his own prelude and Brahms' "Four Solemn Songs for Bass," Op. 121.
