Bruckner's "00" is actually a good song! A moment to enjoy the beauty of the Austrian countryside. Bruckner's masterpiece symphony "No. 00" is a masterpiece of all Bruckner's masterpieces. Although there have been recordings by Inbal and Sukrovaczewski, this is a new and highly anticipated recording by Schaller, one of the foremost Mahler conductors of his day. Although it is a study, it was written by Bruckner at the age of 39, and there is no sense of immaturity. Rather, it is full of pastoral lyrical beauty reminiscent of the Austrian countryside, and it is charming. Even in the finale, which is considered weak, much beautiful music can be heard. Schaller, who has been working on Bruckner's entire oeuvre, skillfully brings out Bruckner's unique language and characteristics in this piece and makes it into a moving music. The fact that this rarely performed work appears in a live performance of this quality is most welcome. Gerd Schaller was born in Bamberg in 1965, and began his conducting career in 1993 at the Hanover State Opera, followed by the Braunschweig State Opera in 1998, and from 2003 to 2006 as General Music Director of the Magdeburg Theater.He is an expert on Bruckner and eventually even plays organ solo music.
