The sole album by Mutual Understanding, arranged by Canada's strongest lineup: Ben McPeek, Jerry Toth, and Jimmy Dale. Its supremely refined arrangements make one hesitate to call it "rock," representing the pinnacle of Canadian soft rock. The layered vocal work, reminiscent of the Swingle Singers, combined with the miraculously high quality that rivals ETERNITY'S CHILDREN, COLLAGE, GIMMICKS, its utterly sophisticated rhythm arrangements, and its outstanding content even among works often described with catchphrases like "bossa" or "scat" make this a record whose high market price—said to still approach $500 for the original pressing—is entirely justified. Soft rock gem "LOOK AROUND," the Broadway-style jazzy scat killer "EVERYBODY LOVES MY BABY" famously sung by Brigitte Bardot, sweet bossa nova "LITTLE GIRL BLUE" and "WHEN THE WORLD WAS YOUNG," and the Euro-flavored "OUT OF THIS WORLD," reminiscent of the NOVI SINGERS. The list goes on and on—this album is pure gold from start to finish.
