Re-release in CD format! The famous "Belle Époque" by the talented clarinettist Anneliene van Waeve, winner of the Munich International Music Competition! The young and talented clarinetist Anneliene van Wauwe's debut disc "Belle Époque" will be re-released in CD format! The works included are Debussy's First Rhapsody, Paris-based Manfred Troyanne's (1949-) Rhapsody (world premiere recording), Pierné's Canzonetta and Vidor's Introduction and Rondo, arranged by Tadins, and Brahms' Clarinet Sonata No. 1, arranged by Berio. After winning the first prize at the Munich International Music Competition (2012), known as one of the most difficult competitions in the world, Vawe was named "New Generation Artist" by the BBC and received the Borletti-Buitoni Foundation Award 2018.Having studied with eminent clarinetists such as Zabine Meyer, Wenzel Fuchs, Alessandro Carbonare, and Pascal Moragues, Wahwe made his Proms debut in the summer of 2017, followed by a 2018 performance at the Royal Albert Hall and Cadogan Hall. He has attracted attention in the UK and throughout Europe, including a performance of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Thomas Dausgaard. In this recording, she expresses the world of "Belle Époque" with overwhelming technique and rich sensitivity under the good support of the Orchestre National de Lille, conducted by Alexandre Bloch.
