MINT JULEP is a unit of KEITH KENNIFF and his wife HOLLIE, who made a name for themselves in the dream pop/shoegaze world with the release of "STRAY FANTASIES" in 2020. DREAMLESS SLEEP" is a challenging work that blurs the contours even further, as the title suggests! The soft synths and HOLLIE's melancholy vocals that echo from the intro of the newly released song "BLACK MAPS" are symbolic of the blurred sound image that characterizes this album. The arpeggios of the guitar, the enveloping synths that can be found in recent shoegaze albums, and the rhythms that start to move from the middle to the end of the album are all well crafted and perhaps even more detailed than on the previous album!
