Description:
Bill Graham's memorial free concert "Rafter Love & Music" was held at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on November 3, 1991. Bill, a legendary promoter (and manager) who founded the Fillmore Auditorium, the center of the West Coast psychedelic/flower movement, in 1965 and led the era, passed away on October 25 of the same year in a tragic accident. The memorial, which drew an audience of 500,000, featured performances by CSN&Y, the Grateful Dead, Santana, Jackson Browne, Aaron Neville, Joan Baez, and others, who paid tribute and love to the man who created rock culture in the 1960s and 1970s. This disc features the complete 2CD recording of the Grateful Dead stage from the concert. It features a CCR song with John Fogerty as a special guest, and an encore performance of Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" with Neil Young. Live at the Bill Graham memorial concert, November 1991.
