Daptone Records is proud to announce the release of a new album by Lee Fields, aka Little JB, who has broken out internationally 30 years after his debut single, thanks to the deep funk movement and rare groove trends of the 90's and beyond! Born in 1951 in the U.S.A., Lee Fields was a direct descendant of JB in the local North Carolina scene that produced many important figures in the funk music world, such as Maceo Parker and George Clinton. Since the beginning of the 2000s, Lee Fields has consistently released new music on labels such as Truth & Soul Records and Big Crown Records, and has established herself as a singer of vintage and neo-soul music. This is her latest album. This latest release features a total of 12 songs, including the title track "Sentimental Fool," and a wide range of songs from sweet to funky, all with the dignity and energy of a singer's voice.
