Description:

Verdi's passionate patriotic opera "The Battle of Legnano" Theodosiu's heroine is overwhelming! With Japanese subtitles! Verdi's "The Battle of Legnano" was premiered in Rome in January 1849, based on the historical battle between the Holy Roman Empire and the Lombardy League at Legnano in 1176. The story is based on the historical events of the Lombardy League. The year 1848, the year before the premiere, was a year of revolutionary upheaval in all of Europe, and rebellions broke out frequently in northern Italy, which was then under Austrian rule. Conversely, this has had a negative impact on his popularity after the unification of Italy, but his more fervent than usual Verdi is irresistible to those who like it. Included here is a live video of the performance at the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in Trieste in February and March 2012.The leader, Dimitra Teodosheu, sang beautifully and powerfully with an ideal singing style. It is a pleasure to see a great prima donna in such a rare opera. Andrew Richards of Arrigo is a tenor from Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A. Since moving to Berlin in 2005, Richards has been making a name for himself in the German and French opera houses. His most famous role is that of José in "Carmen. Rolando Leonardo Lopez Linares is a baritone from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Both of his parents were singers and he began performing on stage as a child, making his debut as a baritone in 1997. He is active in South America and Italy, and is a frequent guest at the Arena di Verona. Enrico Giuseppe Iori of Federico Barbarossa is a local Parma bass. He is widely regarded as a gem of Italian bass.Boris Brott is a conductor born in Montreal, Canada in 1944. He also conducted "The Battle of Legnano" in Trieste. Ruggiero Capuccio's staging of "The Battle of Legnano" is an interesting twist, utilizing several large Renaissance-style battlefield paintings to tell the story of the contemporary people surrounding the battle. The Catania production of "The Battle of Legnano" has already been released on DVD by BOGIOVANNI (AB 20001), but this is the first time it has been released on Blu-ray Disc. In any case, it is a rare work with few CDs available, so it is a pleasure to release a clear video with Japanese subtitles. King International Inc.
