Cary led his own Colin Cary Group to record Reich's "Music for 18 Musicians". The Colin Currie Group was formed in 2006 to perform Reich's "Drumming," which was recorded at the Abbey Road Studios, famous for the Beatles. In April 2023, the group will visit Japan to perform "Music for 18 Musicians" and other pieces. Please come and experience the "intense" trance-like state created by the rhythm that repeats, overlaps, synchronizes, and shifts while transforming little by little! ≪Born in Edinburgh in 1976, he received the Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artist Award in 2000 and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award in 2005. He is a world-famous figure with his overwhelming percussionism. He has performed as a soloist with the Concertgebouw Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, and many others, as well as in recitals and chamber music.
