Norwegian hard rock band AUDREY HORNE's debut, Youngblood, released in 2013, was one of the starting points of their career and is now being remastered and reissued by Napalm Records on limited edition white colored 2-CD vinyl. This, their first full-length album, features a modern reinterpretation of the classic 70s and 80s hard rock flavor, and the sharpness of the guitar riffs, the skill of the solo parts, and the stability of the rhythm section come together to create a highly accomplished work. The album's energetic and catchy song structures are appealing, and songs such as "Redemption Blues," "Straight Into Your Grave," and "There Goes a Lady" strike a perfect balance between speed and weight, with lyrical and soulful melodies that will linger in your ears. The guitar and vocal harmonies, in particular, are a joy to listen to. The guitar and vocal harmonies are especially rich, giving the listener a positive and vibrant impression. The drums and bass also provide solid support and create the groove of the entire song. In terms of production, the warm, analog feel is emphasized, a far cry from the coldness of modern digital processing.
