The second solo album by Sean Sibe, a young guitar prodigy who is fast gaining attention after winning the "Young Artist Award" at the Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards 2017, is now available from Delphian in Scotland. The follow-up to his previous album "English Music for Solo Guitar" (DCD 34193), which was nominated for a BBC Music Magazine Award in the Instrumental Music category at the BBC Music Magazine Awards 2018 and selected as a Record Arts "Special Mention", is an extremely ambitious program of arrangements for acoustic and electric guitars. Arrangements from Scottish composers and Scottish lute music are performed on acoustic guitar, while Reich's masterpiece "Electric Counterpoint" and works by David Lang, Julia Wolfe, and others are depicted on electric guitar. With the exception of "Electric Counterpoint," all arrangements and corrections are by Sean Sibe himself, and each is a world premiere recording in this arrangement. Tokyo M-Plus
