The Winterthur Music Collegium led by Gonzalez-Monjas presents its third Mozart concert, "Jupiter"! The Winterthur Music Collegium, Switzerland's oldest orchestra founded in 1629, has released its third concept album of Mozart's late symphonies, "Passing Away", featuring Symphony No. 41 "Jupiter"! Gonzalez-Monjas, who has been the music director of the orchestra since the 2021/22 season, is a violinist who has served as concertmaster of the Winterthur Musikkollegium, the Orquesta Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and the Verbier Festival Orchestra. In recent years, he has also distinguished himself as a conductor, and his performances in Japan with this orchestra have been highly acclaimed. The third release of this highly acclaimed ensemble, which also includes Mozart's Symphonies No. 39 (50-3076) and No. 40 (50-3099), features Symphony No. 28 by Michael Haydn, five years younger than F.J. Haydn, Mozart's Symphony No. 41 "Jupiter", and the ensemble's commissioned work, "He stretches out the north over the void and hangs the earth over nothing" by contemporary female composer Hannah Kendall (1984-).
