Description:
Fritz Wunderlich (1930-1966) was a legendary German tenor singer. Originally a baker, his beautiful voice was discovered by those around him, which led him to pursue a career in vocal music. He was an excellent opera singer, but above all, he was loved for his fine nuances in German lieder, and he had high hopes for his future as a Schubert and Beethoven singer, but in 1966, just before his 36th birthday, he unexpectedly died in an accident. This series of recordings features the fresh and sensual voice of Wunderlich in his twenties. This is a rare piece of his repertoire and a delight for his fans. This album is the first collection of the "Wunderlich Series" consisting of 10 volumes. Naxos Japan
