Description:
Toro i Moi, who is popular among rock fans and dance fans alike and has a huge following in Japan, has released a new album "Boo Boo", his first album in two years! and two masterpieces in a row. In his last album, he transformed from a chill-wave sound to psychedelic and pop music, and completed a pop music that only he could have done. In April 2017, he released another album in collaboration with the twin jazz trio The Mattson 2. The new album, his first under the Toro y Moi moniker in almost two years, was self-produced by Chaz Baer.He also played and recorded almost all of the instruments himself. The guitar sound of the previous album has been abandoned in favor of a deep synth/electro based sound influenced by the 80's, as if the band were diving deep into the ocean to explore themselves. He has performed not only solo but also at various festivals such as Fuji Rock, Hostess Club Weekender, and Taicoclub, and is constantly evolving and crossovering genres, creating another masterpiece.
