Faces, a loose and chic five-piece band that dominated the British rock scene, launched a huge rock 'n' roll firework show in just five years of activity. The Fases recorded their debut album in 1969, just before its release in 1970, and now, rare and previously unreleased early studio rehearsal recordings are finally being unraveled...! In just five years of activity, the Faces created a lifetime's worth of spectacular rock 'n' roll. Woodpecker heads, satin costumes, sequins and long scarves... The loose and chic quintet that dominated the rock scene in the early 70's remains one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time and still influences many artists today. In 1968, Ronnie Lane, Kenny Jones, and Ian McLagan, who had been active as the Small Faces, were joined by Rod Stewart and Ron Wood, who had been members of the Jeff Beck Group, and they started their new act as the Faces. In 1970, they released their first album "FIRST STEP", and now "EARLY STEPS", a collection of rare sound recordings of the band on the eve of their debut as The Faces, is now available! The collection includes a session recorded at Olympic Studios in Barnes, London in 1969, and rehearsals held at the Rolling Stones' warehouse in Bermondsey. These are very rare recordings that have never been released to the public. This is a work of historical document that vividly captures the night before the band's spectacular debut. EARLY STEPS" takes us back in time to London in the 1960s, walking along the Thames River from Barnes to Bermondsey with the band members, and gives us a vivid experience of the sessions and rehearsals that took place there.This work, which captures the "early steps" of the group just before they take their brilliant "first steps," is a must-have collection for fans of the group.
