Her voice connects the world with love. Melodie Gardeau, the "Miracle Singer," presents her long-awaited new album, her first in five years since 2015's "Currency of Man: Memories of Encounters. Melodie Gardeau is one of the three greatest American female singers since 2000, along with Norah Jones and Madeleine Perreault. This is her first new album in five years since 2015's "Currency of Man: Memories of Encounters" (UCCU-1488), and in addition to her own originals such as "From Paris with Love," which was released suddenly in June and featured the participation of jazz violinist Naoko Terai, the album also includes "Moon River" and "I Love You. Also included is her duet with Sting, "Little Something," which will be released for download on September 4.This album was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Larry Klein (Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock) and arranged by composer Vince Mendoza (Bjork, Elvis Costello, Pat Metheny). All of them had worked on her second album "My Only Thrill," which became her breakthrough album, and the best lineup was used for the production. On the songwriting side, she co-wrote the title track, "Sunset in the Blue," with Jesse Harris, the composer of Norah Jones' hit "Don't No Why." The CD includes a collaboration with Sting, "Little Something.
