This album was produced as part of a project initiated to commemorate the bicentennial of Franck's birth, and includes organ works from Op.16 to Op.21, known as the "Six Works for Large Organ". The recording was made using the historical organ by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, located in the church of Saint-François-de-Salle in Lyon. This precious instrument is one of the few that has not undergone 20th-century modifications, and is one of the few that conveys the acoustics envisioned by the composer Franck to the present day. Its sound provides rich inspiration to performers and brings new perspectives to the interpretation of the work. Agnieszka Tarnowska is a remarkable organist who studied at the Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań and further studied in Lübeck and Hamburg, Germany. She has won awards at numerous international competitions, most notably the first prize at the 2017 Cesar Frank International Organ Competition in Haarlem. Tokyo M-Plus
