Polish progressive rock band AMAROK, a solo project of Michal Wojtas, a multi-instrumentalist from Poland, reissued their self-produced album in '19 from Oskar, Poland in '22! This album features Pawel Kowalski (drs) from the local alternative rock band COLD WAR, Marta Wojtas (lyrics/vo/ele-dr/sampler) from the pop band UNIQPLAN, and others. Following the release of their first album in 13 years, "HUNT", this album has electronica/post-rock characteristics, while at the same time making full use of sound processing that seems to have been influenced by a wide range of genres, from early Krautrock to current techno and trip hop, and spun with a sense that is typical of the Polish generation. This is a work that gives a sense of the potential of the next generation of prog-rock.The swirling thick bass sound and the supple acoustic space/echo processing that seems to be reaching its limits create a tension that feels as if it is about to burst, while the piano and guitar melodies that are close to live sound have a warm feeling of nostalgia and familiarity, presenting a new form of current prog rock. !
