Formed in '85 as a cover band playing GENESIS/LED ZEPPELIN etc. in addition to their original songs, GALAHAD made their official debut in the 90's with a musical style influenced by the first generation pump rock bands like IQ/PENDRAGON. GALAHAD, one of the representative bands of the second generation of British pump/ melodic rock, performed at "Night of the Prog" in 2010, a prog rock festival held almost every year from '06 to '24 at Freilichtbuhne Loreley, Germany. This live recording of their performance at the "Night of the Prog" festival held at Freilichtbuhne Loreley in Germany every year from '06 to '24 is now available! In addition to the original members Stu Nicholson (vo) and Roy Keyworth (g), Spencer Luckma (drs) and Dean Baker (key) who have supported the band for many years, and as a result this performance was the last performance as a member of GALAHAD. (They participated in two studio albums released in '12, which were recorded before their deaths,)The last song "Termination" features guest appearance by Mark Spencer on guitar and vocals, who is still the bassist of the band as of 2013. Although the album is only about an hour long, it includes the title track from the '95/'07 album, "Richelieu's Prayer," a moving and authentic sympho number that graced the end of the band's debut album "Nothing is Written," and "Bug," an unusual song that boldly incorporates EDM/drum'n'bass as the framework of its music. The setlist, which seemed to sum up GALAHAD's efforts up to that point in a nutshell, was a roar to fans, and it was hard to believe that Neil had already been fighting a disease. The setlist is a great example of GALAHAD's ability as a live act, with an energetic and solid performance based on Neil's powerful bass, which is hard to believe that Neil had already been fighting a battle with illness.
