Indaba is", a compilation work that captures the South African jazz scene, has been released by Brownswood, a label led by Giles Peterson. This album is a South African version of "We Out Here," a compilation that featured leading figures of UK jazz and triggered the subsequent rise of the scene, and was produced and managed by pianist/producer Thandi Ntuli and The Brother Moves. The album was produced and managed by two key figures in the scene: pianist/producer Thandi Ntuli and Siyabonga Mthembu, the bandleader of The Brother Moves On.The compilation also features Botswana-born, University of Cape Town-educated pianist Bokani Dyer, Lwanda Gogwana, who has been nominated for Best Jazz and Best Composer at the South African Music Awards, and Shabaka Hutchings, a saxophonist and key figure in UK jazz. Gogwana, and Shabaka and the Ancestors with saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings, an important figure in UK jazz, The Ancestors, who are known for their work with Shabaka Hutchings and the Ancestors, and other talented musicians.
