European-style melancholy electro-techno-pop brings that nostalgic era back to the present day! Alphaville, Germany's most famous electro-pop band known for their smash hit "Forever Young", will begin analog reissues of their original albums in 2019 with their late albums! The band's long-awaited first analog LP release of their fourth album, PROSTITUTE, released in 1994, is now available in the latest remastered format! Electro-pop/techno-pop dominated the Western music scene in the 1980s. Various artists from non-English speaking countries were active in the scene, and many great songs were created by incorporating the atmosphere and characteristics of each country. One such artist is the German electro-pop act, "Forever Young," which has been covered by popular acts such as Beyonce, One Direction, Imagine Dragons, and Jay-Z, and has been used in TV commercials here in Japan as well. The song is also used in TV commercials here in Japan and has become a classic that has captured the hearts of Western fans with its melancholy melody. Following "FOREVER YOUNG" in 2019 and "AFTERNOONS IN UTOPIA" and "THE BREATHTAKING BLUE" in 2021, two of their later works will finally be released in deluxe editions. This time, the deluxe editions of their 4th album "PROSTITUTE" released in 1994 and their 5th album "SALVATION" released in 1997 will be released. The new editions will again include the latest remastered versions of the original albums, as well as a number of bonus contents. As with previous deluxe editions, the album will be supervised by Marian Gold and Bernard Lloyd, two of the founding members of Alphaville. PROSTITUTE, released on August 26, 1994, was Alphaville's fourth studio album and last with Ricky Echollette. Featuring hit singles such as "The Impossible Dream" and "Fools," the album was recorded at Lunapark Studios in Berlin and produced by the band itself. It was also mixed at Therm West Studios in London with the help of assistant engineers Frank Rothman and Simone Regner.Guest musicians on the album include John Themis and Rudy Nielson on guitar, and former Nena guitarist Carlo Carges on "The Impossible Dream. PROSTITUTE" is now being released on the latest remastered soundtrack. This is the first time the album has been released on analog LP in Japan. Marian Gold has said that "PROSTITUTE" is "the 'Sargent Pepper album' of Alphaville. Bernard Lloyd adds, "PROSTITUTE is the 'Sargent Pepper album' of Alphaville. I think PROSTITUTE represents the last of Alphaville's youth. Not only in a musical and lyrical sense. We grew up in terms of production and produced the album ourselves at the band's own Lunapark Studios in Berlin. It was the heyday of analog studio technology and the height of the CD era. That changes with this remastered reissue. At last, "PROSTITUTE" is available as a two-disc analog vinyl set!"
