G.T. Moore of the classic British folk-rock band Heron and Tehran singer/songwriter Shusha Guppy have released the soundtrack score to the 1976 documentary about the Bakhtiari tribe, and this is the first reissue! Including Persian-flavored instrumentals, songs, and Persian a capella compositions, this is the first time the film has been released on vinyl since its original Academy-nominated release. A member of the British folk-rock band Heron since the '60s, G.T. Moore formed G.T. Moore & Reggae Guitars in the mid-'70s. He later worked with Lee Perry, Johnny Nash, and Poly Stillen. After 50 years in the music industry, still striving to bridge musical genres, Shusha Guppy, who recorded more than 10 albums of Persian and Western folk songs between 1971 and 1995, is an outstanding singer and songwriter born in Tehran. This is a masterpiece that seems to depict various scenes of her life's journey with the Bakhtiari tribe.
