A genuine piano trio work dedicated to Paul Ray Bill Evans, one of the leading pianists of the French jazz scene Paul Ray was born in France in 1984. He studied at the Regional Conservatory of Toulouse and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, and won numerous competitions, including the 2005 Moscow International Jazz Piano Contest, the 2006 Marshall Solaar International Jazz Piano Contest, and the 2007 Montreux Jazz Piano Contest. 2014, with his quartet He has become a leading pianist on the French jazz scene, with his 2014 quartet release "Mikado" being selected for the International Best Jazz Abum and the 2016 Django Reinhardt Prize, awarded by the Académie du Jazz for the best French jazz artist. He has become a leading pianist on the French jazz scene. This is Paul Rey's first jazz album for the Scala Music label with his trio of Belgian Dre Palemarts (d) and Dutchman Clemens van der Veen (b). It is a piano trio work dedicated to Bill Evans, who revolutionized the art of the piano, bass, and drum trio.Included are compositions by Bill Evans (Blue in Green, Too Lonely People) and jazz standards (Alice in Wonderland).
