A cult Krautrock album from the 1970s is now back on analog LP with the latest remastered sound sources! ASTERIX, a hard rock band from Hamburg, Germany that later evolved into LUCIFER'S FRIEND, created an authentic hard rock sound with John Lawton, who later joined Euriah Heap, on vocals. This is the only album by the band, which created the sound of authentic hard rock in the 70's. The experimental music "Krautrock" appeared in the former West Germany from the late 1960's to the 1970's. The album is a masterpiece of hard rock. This musical alchemy of rock, psychedelic, jazz, and avant-garde eventually incorporated elements of electronic music and evolved in its own unique way. In the course of exploring new ways of expression and musical styles that differed from American and British rock and pop, bands with diverse musical styles, such as NEU!The 70's works from the Krautrock era have been reissued on analog LP! Despite being released almost 50 years ago, the reissued works all convey the free and experimental atmosphere of the time, and are recorded with newly remastered sound sources. ASTERIX, consisting of John Lawton (Vo.), Peter Hesslein (G.), Peter Hecht (Org), Dieter Horns (B.) and Joachim Rietenbach (Dr.), who later joined Uriah Heep, released this album in 1970. This self-titled album was the only studio album released by ASTERIX in 1970.Among the various albums that emerged from the German scene at that time, "ASTERIX", with its bluesy elements and strong orthodox hard rock sound, gained cult attention as a representative work of the German hard rock scene of that era, partly due to the success of LUCIFER'S FRIEND, who later became a member of the same band.
