The 100th anniversary of Faure's death, the best analog LP recordings Gabriel Faure (1845-1924) was a composer, organist, and teacher who played an important role as a bridge between Romanticism and modern music. Born in Pamiers, France, he studied under Camille Saint-Saëns at the Ecole Niedermeyer. Fauré's works are known for their refined lyrical style and include such masterpieces as Pavane, Requiem, Sicilienne, Lullaby, and After a Dream. Fauré held important positions, including director of the Paris Conservatory, and was a teacher of Maurice Ravel, influencing the next generation of composers. Despite progressive hearing loss, Faure continued to compose. Fauré's music, acclaimed for its elegance, innovation, and emotional depth, has had a lasting impact on the history of French music. A 180g analog LP record containing famous works from such a body of work has been released in limited quantities. Warner Music Japan
