Lisa Papineau is a singer and songwriter from the U.S. who has contributed songs and vocals to numerous artists, including Jun Miyake AIR, M83, and Omar Rodriguez Lopez, as well as Big Sir, a unit with Juan Anderette (Mars Volta), which has attracted a lot of attention. She has been active while battling multiple sclerosis, and her recent album "Halo Orbit" (a project by Sugar Yoshinaga, Mark Juliana, and Juan Anderette of Buffalo Daughter) is still fresh in her memory. She has also frequently visited Japan as an indispensable presence in Jun Miyake's works and live performances. This solo album was released in February 2019, mainly for distribution.The fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds on this alternative pop album is at times graceful, at times noble, at times poignant, and at times experimental, creating a variety of worlds one after another. Lisa's voice is overwhelmingly wonderful, and she manages to combine pop and artistry at a high level in this masterpiece that should be listened to by all female vocal fans regardless of genre.
