The human race, which has been driven to a floating city in the sky by demons known as "magic bugs" on earth, has created an existence that can fight against the "magic bugs" - the air combat mage. Kanata Agee, a student at the floating city of Mistgun, an institution for training air combat mages, is an elite ace with the title of "Black Sword Saint (Kronos). However, due to a "certain incident," he has been branded a "traitor" and has retired from the front line. Kanata is appointed as an instructor of the E601 platoon, which is ridiculed as a "dropout. Belonging to this platoon are three girls who have their own unique characteristics. Kanata's instructional methods to the girls are all wildly out of the ordinary...
