The comic "Etrandse by the Sea" (written by Kanna Kii and published by Shodensha) will be adapted into a film animation by Fuji Television's BLUE LYNX label in the summer of 2020, with the original author Kanna Kii herself supervising and designing the characters. It was produced by Studio Hibari, a well-established studio that mainly produces 2D and 3D animation. The film is directed by Akiyo Ohashi, who directed "Danganronpa The Animation" and showed her fresh directing skills in the full animation PV commemorating the release of the first volume of "The Land of Jewels. The drama between the two and the beautiful nature of Okinawa are painstakingly depicted with attention to light, color, sound, and everything else. The original comic book series has been in heavy print runs! A heart-warming boys' love story. Shun Hashimoto, an aspiring novelist, and Mio Chika, a boy standing gloomily by the beach. The comic "Etrandse by the Sea" has captured the hearts of many readers with its portrayal of the first but frustrating relationship between these two. The sound of the waves quietly repeating. The star-filled sky. The time that passes leisurely.On a remote Okinawan island that embraces all who visit it, a pure, warm, but clumsy romance develops between the two. The drama is performed by Taishi Murata (Shun) and Sadaojo Matsuoka (Mineo), who continue to play the roles of Shun and Mineo in the drama CD, and their performances express the sensitive and wavering feelings of Shun and Mineo. The film includes event footage from the opening day screening and audio commentary by Taishi Murata, Sadashi Matsuoka, Kanna Kii, the original author, and Akiyo Ohashi, the director. As a video bonus, the event footage (the video of the stage greeting for the first day screening) and a long PV filled with the highlights of the film are included. In addition, two audio commentaries by Taishi Murata, Sadajo Matsuoka, Kanna Kii, the original author, and Akiyo Ohashi, the director, are included as audio extras.
