He received his Bachelor's degree from The Juilliard School of Music. He has served as concertmaster of the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, and Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra. He is currently the concertmaster of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra. Masaaki Tanokura, a violinist who has been active as a concertmaster with the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Century Orchestra Japan, and others, will finally unveil a collection of Brahms's violin works. The piano is played by Yasuo Watanabe, who studied at the Juilliard School and has recently developed a passion for chamber music. (C)RS
