Brazil’s hyper-duo returns with a new album! A commemorative release for their Japan tour!! DEAFKIDS is a young heavy rock act from São Paulo, Brazil. They were introduced to the Western scene after being spotted by scene legends such as NEUROSIS and SUMAC. The chaos born from percussive polyrhythms and repetitive phrases, combined with metallic heavy riffs and industrial beats and noise, resonates with the style championed by Ipecac and Mike Patton. To date, they have also released a collaborative work with Iggor Cavalera, a founding member of SEPULTURA and a powerhouse drummer. Consisting of nine tracks, this album is like a torrent of sound that transcends the conventions and boundaries of established musical genres to blaze its own trail. The fierce impulse of electronic music and feverish, organic percussion collide with the relentless spirit of Latin American punk. The heavy, pulsating TR-808 kick drum pounds intensely, forming the foundation of the distinctive D-beat. Over this foundation, Sarine’s lightning-fast percussion carves out the guaguancó rhythm, driving forward through the ceaselessly pulsing acid house bassline and a wall of fuzz-shrouded guitar riffs. The processed vocals scream from the depths of utter madness.
