International Harvester, nicknamed the "Scandinavian Amondur" for their anti-imperialist sound and resistance to the environmentally destructive Western culture, is now available for the first time on CD in a paper jacket from their mysterious heyday! The most important Scandinavian psychedelic band International Harvester's unreleased live recordings from half a century ago are now available on CD in paper jacket for the first time in the world! Originally released in 2018 as an analog box of 1,500 limited editions worldwide, this item quickly disappeared from the market. Three of the five discs in that box, "Remains 1-3," are now available on CD! This work, "Remains 2," contains performances from three Stockholm concerts from 1968 to 1969, including an improvisation on the theme of the title track "Home Road" under the Harvester name. The live recordings are of great significance in the sense that they delve into the trajectory of an important band that has been shrouded in mystery for many parts of the history of Scandinavian psychedelic rock, with vocals chopped into a bewitching groove, wildly floating effects and distorted guitars, and an unknown atmosphere from a half-century ago. The sound sources that have been sealed away for half a century no longer have a precious meaning as recorded music, but rather as preserved air.A very valuable release for the history of Scandinavian psychedelic music, beyond the music itself! The master was restored and remastered by Anders Lind of SILENCE from a cassette tape. Includes an interview with Tomas Tidholm (Vo, Horns).
