Gecko&Tokage Parade has re-recorded some of their best-known works in the past and released the retake best album "Re:Tokage" exclusively on Tower Records! Re:Tokage" is a 10-track best-of album featuring 8 re-recordings of works released on pianist Gecko's music label "Tokage records" since the start of the band's activities, plus one newest song and one cover song.Gecko & Tokage Parade's past releases include (3) "The way we were" (1st album "Tokage Paradise" / June 2016), (9) "Departure" (Wind.e.p. / May 2017), (8) "Flower" (Flower e.p. /(September 2018), and (5) "Stardust" (7) "Into the Earth" (10) "Cloud's End" from the popular second full-length album "Nomadic Flow (December 2017)", which debuted at #4 on the Tower Records Jazz Chart. The album also includes a new recording of Horace Silver's (6) "Nica's Dream", a jazz standard number, and a new recording of (1) "Diver", the first song on the album, and is expected to be the start of the band's next season. The album is a thrilling and solid finish that anticipates the opening of the band's next season.Re:Tokage" is packed with a classic pop and classical piano melody with a singing heart, guitar riffs reminiscent of post-rock and fusion, a rhythm section that explodes with a boosted groove, and a superb ensemble of four young but highly talented musicians that can be heard at first listen.
