Yukari Miyake (soprano) (Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Band.Tokyo)

Description:

It has been 10 years since the hit album "Prayer: Songs for the Future"! Long-awaited album release by the JMSDF Tokyo Band after 6 years! A unique collaboration with sopranista Tomotaka Okamoto! The JMSDF Tokyo Band (Yukari Miyake) produced and released "Prayer: Songs for the Future" (UCCY-1032) in 2013, which was a media sensation at the time." It was a huge hit, winning three awards: "Japan Record Award Planning Award," "Gold Disc Award Classic Album of the Year," and "CD Shop Award Classic Award. The original song "a prayer" was composed by the captain of the band at the time to encourage the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the sincere singing and performance of the song reached many people with great emotion. The number of singers in the JSDF, which was only one at the time of the release of the album "Prayer: Songs for the Future," has increased to five thanks to the activities of Yukari Miyake, and the JMSDF Tokyo Band has also added a male singer, 2nd Officer Hashimoto, further expanding the scope of music. Values changed after the Corona Vortex. The album contains songs that encourage people to make a positive restart to a new way of life amidst the unstable world situation. The original song "Prayer - a prayer" is included in this album as a duet version "Prayer - a prayer 2023" with Tomotaka Okamoto, a sopranista who is gaining even more fans for his performances at numerous international sporting events. Okamoto, who says that the origin of her singing is the many children's songs she sang with her parents when she was a child in Sukumo City, Kochi Prefecture, and Miyake, who says that the origin of her singing is singing "Minna no Uta" songbooks on the porch with her grandmother in Okayama Prefecture. This unique collaboration was realized. The brass band's delicate yet dynamic sound and the two singers, who share a similar background and attitude toward singing, will breathe new life into the song "Prayer". Universal Music
