This year marks Ayaka Hirahara’s 23rd year since her debut. Since her debut, she has performed with orchestras both in Japan and abroad for many years. The release date has been set for her long-awaited full orchestral album, which she has been eagerly preparing to release as a true lover of this sound! Under the baton of Toshiyuki Watanabe—whom Ayaka Hirahara trusts wholeheartedly—and featuring the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, this album breathes new life into numerous classic songs. Starting with her debut song “Jupiter,” this album marks the first time these tracks—including “Ohisama ~ To My Dearest You,” which served as the main theme for the NHK morning drama series *Ohisama* released on June 29, 2011, and “Ashita,” the theme song for the Fuji TV drama *Yasashii Jikan*—have been recorded with orchestral arrangements. The album also features re-recorded orchestral arrangements of “The Name of Life” and “Once Again,” created in collaboration with Joe Hisaishi, as well as “Beyond the Rainbow,” which garnered attention at the 2026 ice skating show “The MELT—Cross of Roots.” Furthermore, the album includes “Friends On Ice,” a new song written specifically for Shizuka Arakawa this year to mark the 20th anniversary of her transition to the professional ranks.
