The 18 judges unanimously awarded the first prize to this brilliant talent. Jeon Han-bin's dedication to his two dear Franz. Pianist Jeon Han-bin, who went from Seoul Arts High School to the Korea National University of Arts, and then to the Mozarteum University of Salzburg in Austria, is currently gaining popularity for his genre-less activities, although his main focus is on classical music. After winning prizes at various competitions in Japan and abroad, he steadily built up his career by winning the Grand Prix (first prize) at the Animato International Piano Competition held in Paris, France, where he became the first pianist in the competition's history to win the unanimous vote of all 18 judges. She has also studied piano in Japan with Dae-jin Kim and in Austria with Pavel Girilov, and has been trained by world-renowned teachers. He is also known for his collaboration with Jinwoon of the K-pop male group "2AM," in which he brought a new style to the stage by fusing classical and rock music in a truly genre-less and borderless manner. Recorded in 2022, "Dear Franz (Lieber Franz)" is, as the title suggests, a confident work by Jeon Han-bin, combining masterpieces by two great Franzs, Schubert and Liszt. Schubert's magnificent scale spun with a light touch, and Liszt's "Venice and Naples," which evokes the composer's beloved Italian landscape with his solid technique and shimmering high register, are both highly acclaimed at this point, and at the same time, they are fine performances that will give us a sense of further progress in the future.
