The interlude from the opera "Madonna's Jewel," also known in opera interlude collections and in Paul Moriah's arranged version. This sweet and sad melody has captured the hearts of many. Wolf-Ferrari, who wrote this piece, was born in Venice and was a very successful composer in the field of comedy operas, and in recent years his other works have been performed one after another. Although he wrote more than 15 operas and comedies, Wolf-Ferrari did not prefer the medley style of overtures, in which the famous melodies of the operas appear one after another, as is common. Therefore, many of his works were written without overtures, and the overture and interludes on this album are all that are included in the album. Friedrich Haider, who has already recorded the complete works of the operas "The Jewel of Madonna" (8.660386) and "Susanna's Secret" (8.660385) for NAXOS, will conduct this album. Naxos Japan
