Description:
The Symphony of Colors, an orchestral depiction of the characteristics of the four colors purple, red, blue, and green, is the composer's crowning achievement and an essential work in the history of contemporary British music. In particular, the fourth movement, which culminates in two fugues and ends intensely with a major main chord, is the most interesting. Adam Zero, a ballet music about the cycle of life, is the composer's own work, and a recording of the entire work is rare. The work is also richly infused with the language of popular music, making it an accessible work.
