Including the complete Monterey Pop Fest show from S&G, plus rare home demos from 1964-'65, from Eternal Grooves' "ROCK OFF" series! Eternal folk duo, Simon & Garfunkel. Here comes a collection of their previously unreleased live and demo recordings. The first one is their live performance at the first ever outdoor rock festival "Monterey Pop Festival" in 1967. Only two songs have been released on video until now, but all seven songs performed live on that day are finally available for the first time. The "Love and Peace Festival" was planned to promote S&G two years before Woodstock, but after the success of the festival and S&G's breakthrough, the record company changed their stance. The show was a two-man show at the festival, which drew 200,000 people. Paul Simon controlled the accompaniment with his acoustic guitar, and Art Garfunkel's clear voice overlapped with his own. The performance included "I Can't Wait to Go Home" and "Song of the 59th Street Bridge. The simplicity of the performance made it resonate with the audience. Anti-war, student movement, love and peace. The large audience listened in silence to "Sound of Silence," a song depicting the feelings of troubled American youth, and it was a masterful performance that made the audience feel as if time had stood still. In the 1960s, Simon & Garfunkel were a reflection of the American culture of the time. In 1966, the band also appeared on European TV, and a special live performance on Dutch TV (NCRV TV/August 12) was recorded. The stage was mainly composed of songs from the second album. This time, 6 songs are included from the new master.As a bonus, a rare demo recording of Paul and Art singing at home from their 1964-1965 home recording session is also included.
