Description:

The Baroque harp's strings create a strange, layered sound. The essence of Baroque music with beautiful solo voices】From the end of the 16th century to the 17th century, a new art form that would later be called "Baroque" flourished in Rome in the fields of architecture and art before music. A new style of music, which emphasized solo singing, also developed. During this period, instrumental music such as sonatas also made great strides, and in Rome, string players, including those who accompanied vocal music, were very active. The harp, with its ancient appearance, was especially loved in Rome during the Baroque period through the activities of several master harpists, and the three harpists of La Smislanza, together with Riccardo Pizani, an ancient singer born in Rome and a former member of the Pontifical Choir, will present a concert of works by Roman composers who played on harps during this period, as well as a concert of works by Roman composers who played on harps. The works are mostly world premiere recordings and some are world premiere recordings. Through this valuable program, most of which are world premiere recordings, Mizranza has created a rich album that is only possible with the Baroque double harp, which was designed to accommodate the music of the time, with its many chromatic scales. The charm of the unique music of Orazio Miki, the "Miki of the Harp," who is often mentioned in recordings of the music of Landi, Kapsberger, and other vocal composers of his time, and the brilliant Marazzoli, who creates a unique flavor with his precise harmonic diction that also incorporates dissonance, is brought vividly to life with the strange layers of string repellency and the beautiful voice of an ancient music specialist. The charm of the unique music of Marazzoli and others, who create a unique flavor with their precise harmonic diction that incorporates dissonance, is vividly brought back to life "now" with the strange layering of strings and the beautiful voices of specialists in ancient music. ARCANA's unique recording sheds new light on Italian music of the same period, such as Frescobaldi and Monteverdi, and brings it to life. Naxos Japan
