The male voice ensemble Odekaton, conducted by Paolo da Col, continues to revive the "newborn" flavor of Italian music of the Renaissance with its rich performance and interpretation based on thorough musicological verification. This time, the ensemble will perform a piece by Paolo Aretino ("Aretino" is a common name for a native of Arezzo; his real name is Paolo del Bivi), an unknown master who was active mainly in his hometown of Arezzo while also serving the Medici family in Florence in the mid-16th century, when many composers were greatly influenced by the exquisite polyphonic music of the Flemish school.
