Artur Schnabel (1882-1951) was a famous pianist known as a Beethoven player. In fact, he was also active as a composer and left behind three symphonies as well as piano and vocal works. This album contains all of his songs, performed by Jenny Lin, a pianist born in Taiwan and now active in the U.S., and Sarah Couden, another American contralto. Jenny Lin is working on an introduction to Schnabel's works with the release of her complete piano works by Schnabel (STNS-30074) in 2019. Naxos Japan.
