Bernhard Romberg (1767-1841) was active in the German classical period. He was nicknamed the "Paganini of the cello" for his public performances at the age of seven and his tours with his cousin Andreas, who was the same age. The new cello notation he proposed, which is still in use today, revolutionized cello technique and design. This album features a sonata with an unusual combination of harp and cello. It is performed by the Hungarian players Abba-Nazi and Szolnoki. Naxos Japan
