Martin Haselbeck and his Vienna Academy Orchestra have been working on the project "RESOUND BEETHOVEN" since 2014. Together with musicologists, they have thoroughly examined the circumstances of Beethoven's first performances and recorded the symphonies using the same instruments and orchestration as at the time, and even the same venue as at the first performance. The entire symphony has been released on the ALPHA label to high acclaim. The CD3 recording has already been released on the ALPHA label, but this time, the three CDs will be released in a three-CD bundle that also includes the piano concertos. CD3 has already been released on the ALPHA label, but this time it will be a 3-CD box set incorporating those recordings as well. The recording location and orchestration, as well as the use of Beethoven's actual instruments for Concertos No. 1, No. 2, and Rondo, show the thoroughness of this recording, which is a valuable attempt to recreate the music of Beethoven's era.
