Christopher Park is a pianist of Korean and German descent. Born in Bamberg, he was the youngest student (12 years old) at the Saarland University of Music and performed at numerous music festivals, attracting international attention. In addition to his solo activities, he has also been active in chamber music and song accompaniment, and his recording with Sumi Jo (German Lieder) was especially well received for its skillful accompaniment. In this album, she performs four of Schumann's works, and the listener can enjoy the rich musicality of the music. The "Concerto without Orchestra" was later revised as "Piano Sonata No. 3. Originally conceived as a five-movement work, it was published without the two scherzos, but one was later added and became Piano Sonata No. 3. In this album, the omitted scherzo (published after Schumann's death) is added at the end. Naxos Japan
