A US indie masterpiece with raw, unstable songs and piercing soundscapes! Mount Eerie, the project of Phil Elvrum, who has been active in the Microphones since the late 90's, is releasing a new CD in Japan. This 2-CD set is an 80-minute epic with 26 tracks, ranging from indie-folk based emo/post-rock, noise, drone, ambient, and Japanese gagaku-influenced compositions. The raw feel of the analog recordings and the raw, unstable songs are piercing. The meticulous artwork and booklet are also excellent.
