The new album is the best album of their career, and marks a further evolution of their unique utopian sound, which is folky, tropical, French, urban, and pastoral at the same time! François and the Atlas Mountains is an indie band led by François Marie, a talented musician who was a touring member of Camera Obscura in the early 2000s, and is now based in Bristol, England, and hails from the western part of France. The band is currently based in Bristol, UK. This is the band's new album 2025, and their first release on InFine, the label they have been with for over 10 years, having moved from Domino to InFine, one of the best crossover labels in France, which includes Francesco Tristano, Lorne, and Dina Abdelwahed. This will be their first album release on InFine. François' voice, which has been compared to that of Devendra Banhart and Vincent Gallo, is delicate and subtle, with a hint of modesty, and it is still there on this album.Folky, tropical and French, urban and pastoral, the unique utopian sound that has always characterized the band has gained additional breadth and depth with the help of guest musicians such as Malick Judy, Thomas de Pourquerry, and Logi Plane. and guest musicians such as Malick Judy, Thomas de Pourqueray, and Logie Plain.
