The founder of the Yamagata Symphony Orchestra, Chiaki Murakawa, who will turn 90 this year, has finally released his first CD with the orchestra. This is a monumental live recording of the Yamagata Symphony Orchestra's 300th Subscription Concert, celebrating the orchestra's 50th anniversary, and a performance at Yamagin Kenmin Hall to commemorate Chiaki Murakawa's 90th birthday. The recording features Sibelius, Chiaki Murakawa's most cherished repertoire.
