Erika Numamitsu's long-awaited debut album is a collection of solo piano pieces, including her own arrangements for use in the film "Nishikita Chopin" and a piece inspired by the film's message, "Prayer for the repose of the soul. This is a collection of solo piano pieces. The performance, which is sprinkled with the experience she has gained as a chamber musician and orchestral pianist, resonates the space delicately and dynamically, bringing Chopin, Franck, Rachmaninoff, and Kohei Kondo to life. Erica Numamitsu, piano Born in Kagoshima, Japan. After graduating from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts and the same university, she is currently active as a soloist, a pianist with domestic orchestras and chamber music ensembles, and a composer/arranger of many works.She has studied piano under Reiko Ikegawa, Mari Takeda, Michiko Tah, and Saori Tah, and chamber music under Miyoko Goldberg Yamane. 2nd prize winner of the Jr. Gina Bachauer International Competition (Salt Lake City, U.S.A.), and performed in the prize presentation concert at Suntory Hall, Tokyo. She won the third prize in the Pitina Piano Competition. Studied under the late Alicia De La Rocha in New York and was the opening act for her concerts. She has performed with orchestras around the world, including the Ensemble of Tokyo, Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish Radio Krakow Symphony Orchestra, Savaria Symphony Orchestra (Hungary), etc. In 2005, she gave her own recital at Suntory Hall in Tokyo. Since 2006, he has performed and composed music for Fuji Television dramas and movies, as well as the anime "Nodame Cantabile", and participated in the recording of the soundtrack CD.In 2016, he was invited to the Mozarteum Salzburg Summer International Seminar as an official accompanist. In addition to being active as a pianist, composer, and arranger, he is also dedicated to teaching younger students through his unique approach to solfege, harmony, and music analysis from a performer's point of view.
