Demon, one of the leading NWOBHM bands, releases their first new album in eight years! Inspired by horror movies, the album is dark, catchy, and progressive, reminiscent of their first two classic albums. The NWOBHM movement that took off in the late 1970s in the U.K. and elsewhere varied greatly in musicality and image, with some bands explicitly inheriting Black Sabbath's occult and evil image. The band's name, "Demon," is too straightforward, and their artwork and other images are very evil, but their music is rather catchy, and this gap is the band's greatest appeal. Demon" in 1981 and their second album "The Unexpected Guest" in 1982 are still loved by many heavy metal fans as masterpieces of NWOBHM. Since then, Demon has been active while changing their musical style (although they broke up for a while in the 1990s). Their long-awaited new album is titled "Invincible" and is their first new album in eight years.Vocalist Dave Hill, one of the original members of the band, has stated that he was inspired by horror movies, and this album has a lot of the flavor of early Demon. It is subtly dark, yet catchy, and a bit progressive. This is Demon at its finest. This album will surely appeal not only to their fans, but also to fans of Uriah Heap and Rainbow.
