Kilmara is a Spanish melodic power metal band that has been active for a quarter of a century, including its predecessor, Jadde. The band changed their name to Kilmara in 2003. After making several demos, he made his album debut with "Hunting Dreams" in 2007. Since then, they have consistently released albums such as "Don't Fear the Wolf" (2010), "Love Songs and Other Nightmares" (2014), and "Across the Realm of Time" (2006). Love Songs and Other Nightmares" was released by Sony Music, a major label, and gained great popularity, especially in Spain.Kilmara is releasing its long-awaited new album, its first in seven years. The album is titled "Journey to the Sun. The biggest change of all is the addition of a new guitarist, Carles Salse. The band's sound production has been dramatically improved with the addition of this guitarist, who owns his own studio. The power of the band is more than evident in this album. The band's strength lies in the variety of their songs, which range from European power metal to melodic heavy metal numbers. The performance is tight, and it is nice to see the guest appearance of Daniel Hymen, a Swedish vocalist who has played in many bands including Lost Horizon. This album is a must-listen not only for orthodox heavy metal fans, but also for European power metal fans.
